Creator of Children of the Inner Light^®

Marci attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in Baltimore, Maryland where she currently resides. She is a self-taught artist who began her career hand-painting floral designs on clothing. Inspired by her family, Marci's career took a sudden turn when she drew adorable child-like characters in black and white, adding inspirational sentiments to her illustrations. In 1997, she invested her entire savings to concentrate on selling her designs on shirts and cards in a local mall, and the Children of the Inner Light collection of giftware was born. Today she is a best-selling author and illustrator known worldwide. Her work is sold in England, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Her line of characters literally appeared before her eyes one day, in a single burst of inspiration. She quickly identified the characters as Mother, Daughter, Sister, Father, Son, Friend, and so on until all the people and places in life were filled. With her own loved ones in mind, she wrote a true and special sentiment to each one. Her work is "all about the things that are really important in our lives, the things that bring us lasting happiness and fulfillment – our families and friends, our faith, and our relationships." She creates her designs to give people the words to encourage others and to express how they feel to loved ones.
